Inside BBS Awards - One day with Ravesta Records - Interview


Thanks for your time Mike - Ravesta Records! Now that we are almost at the end of 2017,

 what are some words you would use to describe this year?

 This year has been phenomenal with tracks soring in the top 10 all year long, I have to say it’s been a great year.  

What have been some of the highlights for the label?

 This year we have had the honor of working with new artist and sponsors from all around the world. The industry is changing as we know it and the best way to stay relevant is to make connections with more professional people.  


What’s in store for 2018 for Ravesta Records?

 We have a big year planned for Ravesta Records and Ravesta LLC, We are releasing some of the best compilations in 2018 with all new music and streaming updates. We are working with our team to improve our marketing and strategies for the artist and bands. We are leaning more toward the streaming in 2018, So keep an ear out for new beats, bass and mixes.


What made you decide to create Record Label?

 As for most it was the love of the underground music scene. Started back on April 1993.




How did you come up with the name?

 Well this is a long story, Ill make it short. “Rave Star”  So we came up with Ravesta



What was the first album that you ever bought? 

Jam On It – Nucleus



What album are you most proud of in your label?

 We have many great albums, It wouldn’t be fare to say.


In your years in the music business, what is the best thing about being involved with it and the worst? 

Some of the best times over the years have been meeting new talented people and talking with them daily.



What’s your most memorable experience inside the label?

 The first time we hit the big boy charts. That was a time to remember.




What does your day-to-day look like?

 Well our day starts out with emails, track reviews and promotions. Then we move on to our projects we have going at the time. This varies from day to day.



When looking into potential new artists to sign, what are some of the qualities that you find exciting? 

Ravesta Records looks for artist that have something new, an edge. We are looking for the next great talent and want to help get them there.




Do you have any advice to offer up to incoming artists/djs/bands? 

Work hard , Don’t give up. You have to put in your hours and move forward.
